![]() Given the wide array of integration projects to our core team members' credit, there are few problems we haven't solved. A few projects from recent history reflect our capabilities. Client: General contractor and facility manager Assignment: Integration of legacy AS/400 accounting system with newly-acquired Primavera Expedition system. Project Notes: MTG Frameworks had to integrate two entirely different platforms: the legacy product is an AS/400 system; Expedition is a client/server application. Since Expedition implementation had only just begun, the integration process was in constant flux. We also needed to optimize the Expedition system, which accommodates special needs of the construction industry. Results: Our high familiarity with the AS/400 and Expedition platforms, and the flexibility of MTG Frameworks, enabled us to successfully integrate and optimize both systems. Our intimate knowledge of the construction business also helped us to develop a solution tailored to industry needs. Once internal processes were finalized, implementing, configuring and testing the integration took only ten weeks. Currently, the integration is running smoothly and under client control. Client: State financing and oversight authority for not-for-profit and public construction projects Assignment: Implementation and customization of Expedition system and integration with legacy system. Project Notes: Governmental agencies have requirements that are more complex and inflexible than those of private industry. Since they deal with public bonds, SEC auditing requirements are demanding and accuracy of financial data is critical. As such, the client needed to layer organizational rules to go beyond the native capabilities of either application. To meet this challenge, we developed a highly complex and customized system utilizing MTG Frameworks. Results: The resulting system enabled the construction unit to bid and negotiate contracts and change orders while accurately meeting ERP system needs and organizational rules and processes. The integration came in on time, on budget and performed as planned. The client now has cleaner, more accurate and more complete data on every project they fund and oversee. They have been able to build custom fields to track items on an as-needed basis and subsequently upgraded quickly and easily to a new version of Expedition. ![]() Client: Regional metropolitan airport Assignment: Integration of data between Meridian Prolog Manager and new JD Edwards Enterprise 1 ERP system. Project Notes: The airport needed to integrate Prolog PM software with a new Enterprise 1 ERP system that was still being implemented. This made the process complex, as we had to anticipate the needs of the new ERP as we went. The ERP system changed continually during integration. But the adaptability of MTG Frameworks and our understanding of all products in the mix enabled integration to keep pace. Results: After initial analysis, the entire project took just six weeks to develop, configure and implement. Integration was complete two months before the airport went live with the ERP. During the one-week observation period, no error messages were received. The system is up and running, met all objectives and now is completely under airport personnel control.
